Ready~S.E.T.~Go! needs your help!
FABA Members, Spotsylvania County Public Schools needs your help to be able to offer an externship program called Ready~S.E.T.~Go! to students.
In this program, students are paired with a working professional to observe and preview the day-to-day activities for a specific career. Externships are designed for students to learn more about the nature of various occupations and work environments, as well as, a foundation for the education and training needed to succeed. Think of an externship as an extended job shadowing experience designed for students to ask questions, observe, and get a feel for a workplace.
Examples of areas of student interest include Accounting, Administration, Architecture/Design, Building Trades/Construction, Engineering, Finance, Hospitality, Marketing, Management, Sales, etc.
How you can help: Do you work for or own a local business? Are you willing to allow a student to come observe and learn more about your profession?
To be able to offer this program to our students, Spotsylvania County Public Schools are looking for businesses (in ALL career areas) to serve as externship sites for our students!
